On view will be five new interior scenes. Ruckhäberle's paintings are thickly painted in alternately hushed and bold colours. The figures are arranged in groups as they occupy almost the entire surface of the canvas; they emanate a sense of theatre yet they remain self-absorbed. Christoph Ruckhäberle is part of a group of Leipzig based painters who showed their work at Liga, an artist run space in Berlin from 2002 to 2004. This year he has had solo exhibitions at Nicolai Wallner, Copenhagen and LFL Gallery, New York. His work was included in East International at the Norwich School of Art and Design.
