The title of this project refers to Serge Gainsbourg's famous (and disturbing) song. The original version, recorded with the sex-symbol Brigitte Bardot, remained long unreleased - it finally emerged in 1986, almost twenty years after Jane Birkin's familiar cover.

It now serves as the inspiration for an international video-forum, presenting recent works by artists dealing with the theme of love and disenchantment. The exhibition aims to present a contemporary vision of these fundamental issues, which exert such a profound influence over our private lives. Twenty artists offeir their personnal interpretations of a theme that haunted both men and women through the ages.

JTMNP has already been shown at the Kunstmuseum (Thun - Switzerland), Le Fresnoy (Tourcoing - France), Kunsthall Bergen (Norway), Stedelijk Museum het Domein Sittard (Hollande), ... in every location the exhibition was presented under an other format : garden-party, chill-out zone, one-night session.

In Perpignan we will combine the video's with three sculptures (Camp one) of the american artist Yvette Brackman, a kind of samples of human bodies that
function as furniture.

Rita Ackerman (USA) shows her paintings and drawings, an eclectic mixture of manga, auto-biographical images, references to pop-art, ...
Hers is a world of make-belief where the border between perversion and innocence is vanishing.

The students of the ECOLE SUPERIEURE D'ART took the same theme as an inspiration for a video-night + party organized at CAFE LA SOURCE (7.5. at 8pm).
