 Marcel Meury Reifezeit Click for English text Mit der stimmigen Installation "Reifezeit" von Marcel Meury wird der Projektraum "Ehegraben" eröffnet. Widmer+Theodoridis contemporary stellen diese Plattform Künstlern für experimentelle Arbeiten zur Verfügung. Der Ehegraben versteht sich als ein Ort der unmittelbaren Begegnung und sensiblen Interaktion. In seiner Arbeit berührt Marcel Meury Vorstellungen von Territorium und Raum. Gleichsam einer Zeitachse entlang schreitet der Besucher von Bild zu Bild durch den Graben und reift dem offenen, akustisch bespielten Lichthof entgegen. Bilder vom Unterwegssein, von Himmel, Erde, Weite erzählen von einer Wirklichkeit, die vom Immaginären durchdrungen ist und die sich auch eine gewisse Unzulänglichkeit bewahrt. Meury weckt eine poetische Grundstimmung und kreiert dadurch einen Raum, in welchem der Prozess der Reifung erlebt werden darf. Bei Widmer+Theodoridis contemporary arbeitet er erstmalig raumbezogen. This platform catches on immediate encounters and sensitive interactions. In his work, Marcel Meury explores notions of territory and space. The visitor steps alongside the pictures through the ditch similar to a timeline and matures towards the open courtyard where the acoustic installation awaits. Images of being in transit, of sky, earth and open land recount a reality that is always already infused by the imaginary and which also retains a touch of inaccessibility. Meury sparks a poetic mood and creates thus a space in which the process of adolescence can be experienced. This installation at Widmer+Theodoridis contemporary is his first space-oriented work.
