Nikki Lindt

Gallery Four53's show in October will be presenting recent paintings made by Nikki Lindt. The series is entitled "Upon Arrival" and will be shown for the first time in New York. Lindt's work has been described as bold, imaginative, poetic and very ambitious. Her most recent project was a multidisciplinary opera shown at Amsterdam's Theater Pompoen, in February. The work was called "The Noahs a climatic tale", it was a modern take on the story of Noah's Ark; the traditional biblical tale was retold in an environmental context.

Nikki Lindt recently moved back to NYC from Amsterdam, where she has been working and living for most of the last 10 years. She lived in New Haven for two years while working for her MFA (1997) at Yale University.

Nikki Lindt's works have been shown, attended and bought internationally and nationally. This is the premiere show of this new promising gallery on the scene in Williamsburg.
