Rita Ackermann: Jump on me III, 2005 Rita Ackermann Jump on me Insert: Andro Wekua Click for English text "Jump on me", die erste Einzelpräsentation von Rita Ackermann (*1969, Budapest/New York) in Deutschland, vereint Zeichnung, Malerei und Wandmalerei wie auch Performance, Film, Musik und Tableau Vivant. Ausgehend von ihrem zeichnerischen Werk lässt sich die Künstlerin immer wieder auf lose organisierte Kollaborationen mit Musikern, Modedesignern oder Fotografen ein. Bezugnehmend auch auf die Geschichte des Bonner Kunstvereins mit vielen Verbindungen zu Fluxus, Happening und Performance wird der multidisziplinäre künstlerische Ansatz von Ackermann präsentiert. Den Zeiten, in denen "das Böse" als politisch korrekte Terminologie salonfähig ist, setzt Rita Ackermann eine Bilderwelt entgegen, in der Lebenslüge und Wahrheitssuche nicht voneinander zu unterscheiden sind und die Verzweiflung lustvoll ausgekostet wird. Ackermann opponiert gegen die offizielle Version des Guten. Die in ihrem Werk immer wiederkehrende Protagonistin, eine Frau, die der Künstlerin selbst ähnlich sieht, und die zwischen der Figur des unschuldigen Mädchens, der Mutter und Madonna und Femme Fatale oszilliert, verstört und irritiert. Es sind unbequeme Bildwelten, die dunkle Seiten des Unbewussten berühren und an das berühmte Diktum "Der Traum der Vernunft gebiert Ungeheuer" anklingen. Immer wieder kreist Ackermanns Arbeit um die "Architektur des Ichs" (Hans Witschi). Emotionale Grenzerfahrungen, der rauschhafte Wahnsinn, aber auch das Versprechen vollkommener Auflösung in Liebe und Frieden, bezeichnen tragende Momente in ihrem künstlerischen Ansatz. "Jump on me", Titel der Ausstellung und der jüngsten Reihe von Aquarellen, ist von einer japanischen Tanzform inspiriert, in der Personen aufeinander zugehen, um sich in einer Umarmung zu vereinen und dann wieder abzustossen. In der Ambivalenz zwischen Zuwendung und Aggression findet die Künstlerin spannungsgeladene und unauflösbare Bildwelten. Die Reihe zeichnet sich durch durchgängige Rottöne aus, die im feinen Farbfluss des Aquarells und im Rhythmus der Strichführung zuweilen beschwingt und leicht an um so schwieriger fassbare, surreale innere Bildwelten anklingen. Daneben wird eine Reihe früherer, bisher noch nicht gezeigter Zeichnungen (1995) präsentiert. Erstmals zeigt Ackermann die gleichnamige Film-Installation "Jump on me" (Bühnenbild: Rita Ackermann, Hanna Liden, Agathe Snow, Kostüme: AS FOUR, Tänzer: Takemi Kitamura, Ryutaro Mishima, Musik: Michael Portnoy, Rita Ackermann, Choreografie: Nami Yamamoto, Fotos: Richard Kern), die sich raumgreifend über mehrere Wände verteilt.  Andro Wekua: Sicut Lilium Inter Spinas (Lie a lily in the back), 2003 Video still Insert: Andro Wekua Andro Wekua (*1977 Sochumi, Georgien/lebt in Zürich) konstruiert mit gezeichneten, collagierten und gefilmten Bildern eine Vorstellung von der Welt, die sich dem festen Zugriff entzieht. Seine Erinnerungen und Fiktionen sind so präzise wie erfunden. Erinnerungen und Fiktionen, etwa an seine Kindheit am schwarzen Meer oder biografische Momente in der Figur seines jüngeren Bruders, tauchen in Fragmenten immer wieder auf. Kleine Manipulationen offizieller Dokumente zielen darauf ab, die Systeme der Repräsentation und Identifikation zu stören. Vom Zeichnerischen ausgehend hat Wekua in den letzten Jahren auch in Installationen und Videoarbeiten das Motiv der Reise zwischen unbenennbaren Orten zwischen Ost und West thematisiert, so unter anderem in "Sicut Lilias Inter Spinas" (Like a Lily in the Back), Video, 2003, Sound: Felix Profos. Seit 2002 arbeiten Andro Wekua und Rita Ackermann immer wieder zusammen. Beiden gemeinsam ist die Hinwendung zum Abgründigen, ein Spiel mit dem Biografischen und die Erfahrung, zwischen Ost und West zu pendeln. Die künstlerische Zusammenarbeit äussert sich in gemeinsam publizierten Künstlerbüchern, bisher bestehen drei Folgen, "Chapter 1-3". Andro Wekua wird in der Ausstellung seine aktuellste Videoarbeit "Neighbour's yard" (2005) präsentieren. The elements of superior loneliness, surreal love affairs, indulgent melancholy and tragicomedies will build throughout the atmosphere of the three rooms, leading through the viewer by an imaginary hand, in the fashion of the bleeding red tango, the never-ending dance. In the film room, "Jump on me", a dance musical sequence, will be projected on four walls, wall to wall, ceiling to floor. It was specially created for this exhibition, inspired by the grandiosity and the history of the space. The film is based on a dance performance (choreographed by Nami Yamamoto) and musically complimented by Michael Portnoy and Rita Ackermann. It features a couple dancing, their figures transforming into the lights of flames and lighting up the entire space with their movement and the color of passion. They jump at each other, violently embrace, fall and let one another fall. The aggression of violent embraces, the grace of whipping, the falls and jumps have no end and no beginning; the film is running in a loop and never stops. Their dance is as immortal as the dinner of the "feast of the beast" is mortal. The objects are still but alive on the table, frozen gestures of human hands creating serving bowls. The supplicant hands express their desperate affords against loneliness. They offer an invitation to eat, but also want to hold captivated the "object of desire". The table is a scream of exaggeration with its deluge of offers. The drawing room will be strictly and simply storytelling; pencil drawings animate the fictional life of our heroine "the beauty". Her story is "the eye for eye, tooth for tooth" story. The drawings illustrate her moments of blissful ignorance, fable-like experiences, an unfortunate accident, a "happy ending", some failures: all everyday encounters with cliches and archetypes from anyone's life. Eventually she will dance out of her own reality into the fantasy that the "beast " created for her. Insert: Andro Wekua Andro Wekua (*1977 Sochumi/Georgia, lives in Zurich) constructs a concept of the world with drawn, collaged and filmed pictures, a world that denies any firm access. His memories and fictions are as precise as they are fabricated. Memories and fictions - such as his childhood on the Black Sea or biographical touches in the figure of his younger brother - repeatedly turn up in fragments. Small manipulations in official documents have the goal of upsetting systems of representation and identification. Starting with the drawing, Wekua has created in the past years also video works and film installations. Here too, the theme of the journey between unnameable places in the east and the west is taken up. At the Bonner Kunstverein Andro Wekua will present his latest film "Neighbour's yard" (2005). Since 2002 Andro Wekua and Rita Ackermann have collaborated. Both have in common a tendency to the mysterious, a play on the biographical, and the dark shadowy world.
