 Rita Ackermann memoires d'une jeune fille rougée Rita Ackermann is back in the gallery for the fourth time. She will show new paintings (oil on canvas). "Memoires d'une jeune fille rougée" which is the title of the exhibition, refers to the novel with the same title by Simone de Beauvoir. The artist does not wish to give more information on the exhibition but wrote the following text instead: PAINTINGS FROM THE HOOD.... BACK IN THE HOOD. THE MADNESS OF THE BARBARIC 42ND STREET. WHERE THE ENERGY OF THE STREET CARRIES THE HIGHNESS OF PLEASURE AND PAIN. I AM LOST AND I FEEL GOOD. SMELLING THE URGENCY IN THE AIR TO REVOLT AGAINST THE OFFICIAL GOOD. BUT THE WAR IS AT HEART IN EVERYBODY. IT'S A BATTLEFIELD, IT'S ALL DARKNESS, BLINDED BY FEARS AND THE LIGHT COMES WITH SUCH OVERSTIMULATING JOY. LIGHT IS MY KILLER DRUG, MY RELIGION.
