Mount of India, 2007. The "Photostudio" at the top of Mount Titlis is a place where imaginations of rural alpine life are set up by employees and tourists in an artificial setting.

Alicudi 38.5°N/14.3°E, 2007. The first part (south) of a planned series on different border areas.

Check on Arrival-Grenzland Flughafen, 2006, with Susanna Kumschick. The exhibition shows how people, baggage and goods are checked at Zurich Airport, with special emphasis on the logic of the procedure and the role of visualisation technology.

h(i)er oder, 2004. Transformance in the physical space. Performance with videoprojections. Co-production with K.Ä.laboration.

firefighter [after work], 2003. The traces of the fight against blazing flames are washed away by the shower. That purifying ritual is accompanied by a collage of radio samples reporting Canberras‘ bushfires in summer 2003.

so close so far away, 2003. The video creates an atmosphere of uncertainty by juxtaposing lush organic imagery with fleeting shadows of distant planes, accompanied by a disturbing soundtrack.

sur cunfins - dunnas ad alp, 2001. With TvR / Videocompany Zofingen. Shepherdess Silvia Schlegel and cheesemaker Christina Kurth talk about their motives to spend the summer in the alps, and the alternating between city and mountain lives.



liminality, 1999. Memories, daydreams and happenings of a young woman – accompanied by a citronperch in a translucent suitcase – during a trip by train from the Swiss Eastern to the Western border.

In C, 1998. Co-lab with F. Mettler and 20 musicians. The C-Octave in Terry Rileys In C defines the rythm and the structure, ants represent the pieces’ character. Meditativ pictures of waterplants and fishes change to an overwater world of busy city life.

s/top, 1996.The topic „alps and danger” is inspired by a sled-accident. The crutch as a prerequisite for reconvalescence is used as an installation object. A monitor into the handle projects x-rays.

b/order, 1996. In the installation b/order subjects of s/top are developped further to more general questions about borders: On personal, geografical, linguistical borders and their crossing, dissolution and limitation.

Oben bleibt niemand, 1994. Science, literature and politics mould our conception of mountains and of the people living there. Myths and idealizations in pictures and texts are presented next to, above, below and against each other.

La historia dil Segnes, 1993. My grandmother Maria Casutt-Cabrin tells about a mountain accident that happened to her relativs in 1840 during a pilgrimage in summertime. The video points on oral history and questions of representation.

Hier ist schön, 1993. "Hier ist schön" attempts to deconstruct cliché-images of mountains with short cuts and a staccato-like soundtrack containing noises from the industrialized environment of a ski resort.

Bäcki bleibt! 1991, Co-production of VFPuK. Documentation on serious housing shortage and the resistance against real estate speculation showed with the example of the squats Bäckerstrasse 51 and 55 in Zurich.
